Made up of top musicians in Loudoun County, the Loudoun Brass Quintet is a dynamic community ensemble based in Sterling, Virginia. Our diverse palate includes a variety of styles from laid back jazz to classical and spiritual music.
We are under direction of Richard Moreno, who founded the Loudoun Brass Quintet in 1998 as part of the Loudoun Community Bands, Inc. We are a standard brass quintet consisting of two trumpets, one French horn, one tuba, and one trombone, whereas our trombone is played by euphonium. The members are (left to right): John Paganelli (trumpet), Kent Wellman (euphonium), Angelika Kirchmeyer (horn), Richard Moreno (trumpet), and Rick Denney (tuba).
We mostly commit to playing for charity causes and during charity events, but we also bring music to senior centers, nursing homes, neighborhoods and churches. If you would like to invite us to support your event, please do not hesitate to contact us and find out more about our availability and programs.
